School is back

For many this week begins yet another school term, another year of learning and

growing both in spirit, in intellect and shoe size. As we gear up for year 29 th year at FACS, one thing is constant, change. Our FA 2026 ministry theme is “Change is

coming”. Eight months in and our theme has been confirmed time and time again. Change is happening, some good and some not but always constant. Sometimes, we feel like we’re hanging on for dear life and at times it’s true. A time Hebrews 12 refers to as when everything that can be shaken will be shaken so that which cannot be shaken may remain. The key to life in changing times is who or what we’re holding on to. In a time of constant and unexpected change who or what we’re holding on to means everything. Malachi 3:6 describes God as unchanging, the God who changes not. In times and seasons of unprecedented change being anchored and rooted in the God who is forever the same is more than a little bit important. This morning, be encouraged that the God we serve is our refuge, a safe place in the time of trouble, and a strong tower that the righteous run into and are safe. The best, most exciting and safest place to be in a time of change is at the feet of Jesus. Let’s commit this morning to live at His feet. It’s the safest place there is.
