View from Above

Most of us have been to the mountains or other places high in elevation where the view was breathtaking. The panoramic view gave us a much different look and feel than being on the ground. The difference of course was position. It’s not always what we see but how we see it that makes the biggest impact. For the 12 spies who were sent to check out the Promised Land is case in point. All 12 saw the same places, people and produce. 10 of them viewed what they saw from the ground while 2 saw the scene from above. The perspective of the two groups was night and day different and became the reason why 2 got in and 10 were left out. It’s so important today to look at life and all that it brings through the lens of Heaven, God’s viewpoint. This is what New Testament Promised Land living is all about. My excitement and love for the Lord and the glorious future He has prepared for us in His eternal Kingdom is greater, far greater than our sincere concern for the dark and challenging times we are facing now and those prophesied to come, for the Lord is coming and His reward is with Him.” It’s good to live from above.”
